New Baby
Well, it seems I have a new cousin. I learned this news first from Slippy. I was in bed, taking a nap, trying to get away from him. He knew I was pissed off... he had to know. But he came in nevertheless and literally layed on top of me in the bed. He started telling me about my new cousin... all the stats like weight, length, time of birth... where did he get this information? How did he remember all this? I wondered these things as I felt my mind drifting away and his body getting heavier on mine.
I woke up an hour later with all of my limbs asleep and I had an earache where Slippy's head was on mine, pressing it into the pillow. Why is he still on me? I struggled to break free and moved over and drifted back to sleep.
I woke up half an hour later this time. Slippy had moved and was now positioned so that half of his body was squishing mine. Christ. I asked, What are you doing here? He said he was just snuggling with me. Jeezus. Once again I fought to break free and left him there in the bed, asleep.
I came in and checked my e-mail... and there he was. My new little cousin Carson, with his squished new-born face and tiny hands and nose... and there were all the stats that Slippy had rattled off to me in bed.
How did he remember all that?
