I awoke last night at 3:30am to hear Slippy say: "You have got to come here quick! There's something in the bathroom you need to see!" I am not interested in seeing bathroom items at 3:30 in the morning. But Slippy insists and says "it looks like Yoshi." So I get up, and there in the spare bathroom is this cat. And it looks amazingly like Yoshi! I was shocked. In my half asleep state, I said "Honey, that is Yoshi." Then I took a closer look... this cat was bigger... and when it turned it's head to me, I noticed it's little black nose. "Well fuck me, where did it come from?"

Apparently just a few short minutes before this, Slippy was working on the computer and heard a cat outside. He chased it around the front yard for 20 minutes and finally got it. He brought it in and gave it food and water. It is a really sweet cat. The first thing it did when it saw me last night was rub it's head all over my legs. And it purred so loudly I could hear it across the room! It's just so weird seeing another Yoshi.

So today, the cat has taken over Yoshi's chair. Yoshi is not happy about this at all! I have never heard Yoshi be so vocal in my life, but he has hissed, growled and spit at this cat for most of the morning. This afternoon has been peaceful. I think we may keep the cat. I made "found" posters to hang up, but I have yet to go hang them... I don't want the owners to come. I doubt the cat has people who miss him. He has no collar, and is oily and dirty... he's obviously been outside for a long time. But he is very domesticated. I don't know. I want to keep it, but I'm afraid Yoshi will be pissed at us, and he is my baby boy! :)
