It's cold. Butt fucking cold. Well digger's ass cold... witches tits, brass bras cold... I think you get the picture. I woke up this morning and it was -9 degrees. Anyone miss that "-" there? Hope not, because I sure didn't! I swear to god, when you walk out the door first thing in the morning, your lungs hurt because it is so cold. We have a good 15" base of snow on the ground, and it has snowed like crazy this week.

But there is an upside to this. Last night I went out about 10pm and snowshoed. The moon was almost full, and it's reflection on the snow looked like diamonds! You can see perfectly at night because of the brightness of the moon on the snow. With a full moon out, you can see the outline and the snowcaps on the mountains at night. It is amazing. It's so beautiful to look out over the frozen snow covered lake to the mountains beyond. I may be miserable as far as money goes, but the beauty here is impossible to ignore.

I started a part-time job working for a housing agency. We have several housing "projects" and I am currently re-writing the HUD leases. Needless to say, I am learning a lot about NY HUD... and I am hoping it will get me an "in" to a house or apartment! The school is calling me to sub quite often. I seem to primarily be subbing elementary, but last week I subbed middle school science, and high school French. Je embrasse mon chat sur la buche! And I really do, too! :)

I am actually thinking about going back to school for Elementary Education. I love second grade. They are such a great group of kids. Everytime I sub in there, some of the kids draw me pictures, or make little things for me. They are really sweet kids.
